2025/26 Season Summary
Youth and Mini Rugby
The youth section continues to thrive as the third-largest in Hampshire, averaging 32.5 players per age group among 520 registered members.
Trojans is proudly bucking county trends by retaining players during traditionally difficult transition ages, and the club boasts the largest girls' section in Hampshire with 142 players. On the pitch, teams from U12 up represented the club exceptionally well, highlighted by the U16 Girls winning the regional National Cup and Saffi Smaili earning an England U18 cap.
Off the pitch, Dan Power is stepping down as Youth Chair after three successful years, with Minis Chair "Pumba" volunteering to take the reins.
Senior Section Successes
It was a landmark season for both the Men’s and Women’s senior sections, driven heavily by thriving youth academy pathways.
The Men’s 1st team secured promotion back to Counties 1 and reached the National Cup semi-finals, seamlessly integrating 17 recent U18 players into senior rugby. The Women’s 1st XV successfully retained their place in Championship 1 South, while the Women’s 2nd XV secured their second consecutive promotion to move into NC1 next season. The bridge between sections is stronger than ever, with 14 pathway players now in the regular women's squads and 16 players earning Hampshire Senior Women's selections.
