We are delighted to share that the redevelopment of the clubhouse continues to move forward with real momentum. There is great progress on site each week and the transformation is becoming ever more visible. Even better, the support from our members and wider community has been extraordinary.

Thanks to donations, events, and the Buy a Brick campaign, we have now raised c. £150,000, with c. £30,000 added since our last update. This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of how much this project means to everyone involved.

We do have some practical realities to navigate in the weeks ahead. The bank process for finalising our loan is moving far more slowly than the build itself and, if the loan is not fully completed by April, we may need to briefly slow or pause some work. We have bridging support from earmarked section funds which gives us breathing room, and we are planning carefully to ensure the clubhouse and changing rooms remain usable should a short delay be required.

Repairs to the lane are now underway, and we are working with KES on a longer‑term maintenance agreement so we can keep access to the club in the condition we all expect. None of this stops progress; it simply means we are preparing responsibly while the bank catches up.

The wider picture remains extremely positive. Our funding gap has reduced to around £115,000, now less than seven per cent of the total projected cost. The club is working hard on several fronts to bridge the remainder through VAT efficiencies, cost savings with our builder, increased operating surplus and further grant opportunities.
Your support continues to play a vital role.

There are many ways to contribute, whether through donations, specialist skills or helping at events.

We also, recently hosted the Hampshire RFU Mini Rugby Festival last weekend, bringing together the U7, U8, and U9 age groups for a full day of rugby. The club also staged several major fixtures, including the U16 Boys Hampshire Cup Final, along with home games for the Women’s 1st Team and the U18 Boys. A standout moment for supporters was the visit of the Women’s Rugby World Cup Trophy, which was available on-site for photos and created a real buzz around the grounds.
